These are just some of the things nobody is saying about this unique collection of zombie and undead fiction put together by Black Ink Fiction! Countless authors (Including my good friend and fellow writer, Dorian Sinnott) have contributed quick 100 word short stories, drabbles if you will, about your favorite walking corpses and put them all in one collection. Yours truly, Kevin EC Curdgel, has 5 stories included in this team effort and I can't wait for everyone to read them. To be a new writer, especially in the age of electronic media, while everyone has a keyboard in their pocket, is a daunting task. In a world full of literally everyone's opinion, where do my stories and ideas fit in? Enter Black Ink Fiction. Brandi and Shelly are a remarkable team of editors who managed to see some skill in my writing and included me in this awesome collection. Already available for Kindle (if that sort of thing is your jam), we've now hit physical copies and mine are on the way. 



I hope you consider picking up a copy (12.99 USD isn't bad, it's cheaper than a meal out, and you can keep this for years to come. I wouldn't eat it though. You do you, however.) and if we ever meet at a convention, I'll gladly sign it for you! It is extremely gratifying for me as a new writer to both be published and able to share my work in a space with other talented writers. Plus, you get to hold it in your hands and keep it on your book shelf. I'm blown away and humbled.

  Life has been flying at me rapidly. I've started a new job, I've started therapy (everyone needs a therapist, it's ok), I've been trying to take my health more seriously, and I've got plans to get my eyes looked at in the near future. Working with computers now is playing with my eyes and I'd like to keep them in better shape.   Fails of the Undead: How I Moved Past My Own Zombies During the pandemic I started work on a very different book. I had just lost my job of almost ten years and enrolled in an online art school. I purchased myself a laptop with the intent of using it for my online classes and to do a little bit of writing.  Setting up a new computer these days means logging in to every old account you had. This also meant being faced with old projects I'd long since let sit in electronic limbo. One of those old projects I'd had was a 14 page start of a story. It had been a grand world with rules, cities, class structures, the whole nine. I decided I'd jump right in where I had left off and expand it and maybe get a book done within the summer.
